Description:

From Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta Website:

The Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta is an annual gathering of artists and guilds representing the fiber arts.

Join us for a fiber arts weekend! The Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2019 at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM), 2040 N Santa Fe Avenue, Vista, CA 92083. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Fiber artists, guilds, and vendors will be at the Fiesta showcasing their work, demonstrating their skills, and selling their creations, wearable art, and supplies. Our local fiber artists will also be selling their finished work.

Weavers, basket makers, spinners, felters, knitters, and gourd artists will find many items of interest at this event.

Event admission and museum admission are free. Parking is also FREE.

Keep an eye on our Vendors page to see who is attending!

We expect the alpacas to join us again this year.

We will have an informal spinning corral, so if you're a spinner, bring your wheel and hang out with other spinners.

Please note: The Fiber Arts Fiesta takes place outdoors. Most of the booths will be set up on a lawn that is uneven in places. We suggest you wear shoes suitable for walking and perhaps plan to wear a hat.

This year, the entire Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum will celebrate the American Craft Week with many more attractions.

The West Coast Clock & Watch Museum is now a part of AGSEM with an amazing array of antique clocks on display in the Assembly Building.

AGSEM will be open all weekend, so you can see examples of mechanical ingenuity and crafts associated with the early days of the American farm and rural community. On Saturday, October 5, you can also visit the Model Railroad display and the Blacksmith Shop.

The Vista Gem and Mineral Society show will be taking place at the Museum the same weekend.

The Palomar Chapter of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors will hold a Mini-Mart from 9 am to 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Come and browse through tables of clocks, parts, and memorabilia offered by members of the NAWCC, Palomar Chapter 136.

Also during the weekend, the San Diego County Spinners will be doing a demonstration/practice run for the International "Back to Back" Wool Challenge. See our Demos page for details.
