Red Suspenders Day began in 1961 as a dance to raise revenue for the volunteer firemen of Gridley. It's now a community wide celebration spanning two days of family fun and events. Honor the volunteer firefighters of Northern California. Firemen conduct games for the young and old alike. Bed races are a big hit with teams of 4 people (over 18 yrs old). Vendors should have insurance certificate. Helicopters fly over.
