The Wahoo Country Music Show is a unique event and the largest Traditional Country Music Festival in Nebraska. For 20 plus years, it's been a reunion of families and friends and a labor of love for it's director, Sharon Kenaston.

The festival gives local and regional entertainers an opportunity to share their talents for fans of traditional country, bluegrass, Gospel and more. All levels from beginners to seasoned professional entertainers have an opportunity to participate in stage shows, band scrambles, songwriter's contest, open jam sessions and more. As an added attraction and a gift to the local and regional entertainers, the Thursday night main stage show features National and International entertainers. Over the years, those acts have included Terry Smith, Claude Gray, Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Les Gilliam, Leona Williams, Jean Shepard, Stonewall Jackson, Charlie McCoy, Ron Williams, Bobby Flores, Amber Digby, Sherwin Linton, Darrell McCall, Justin Trevino and more.

The festival is held at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo, Nebraska. It's a perfect facility for the event and it boasts plenty of camping spaces, two air conditioned buildings and a very accomodating open air pavilion that houses the main stage events. There are numerous picnic shelters and outbuildings where musicians can gather for jam sessions and the festival can go on rain or shine because it's all under cover. The fairgrounds is spacious and clean and it feels like a home away from home for many "Wahooligans" for one week out of every year.
