5th annual Wareham Oyster Festival

The fourth annual Wareham Oyster Festival was held Sunday, May 28, 2017 on Main Street, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a full slate of additional activities during the week leading up to the festival. Mark your calendar and join us May 27, 2018, for the 5th annual festival!

The festival featured plenty of food of all sorts, with a focus on shellfish, live music, carefully selected crafters, and more.

Shellfish purveyors from throughout southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands, and Rhode Island were on hand. Live music included performances by the Southcoast Jazz Orchestra and classic rock band Synthesis.

Other events during Oyster Festival Week included the Wareham Oyster 5K to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Wareham, the Oyster Gala to benefit the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and an educational series presented by the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

Major sponsors included Lindsey's Family Restaurant, Gateway Tavern, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, the A.D. Makepeace Company, E.L. Morse Lumber Co., Edible South Shore Magazine, Rosebrook Event Center, Eastern Bank, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and more.
