Cool weather, hot chili, and live music it's fall festival time in Bryson City!

Looking for a way to heat up your fall getaway? Head to Bryson City on Saturday, October 21 for the Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook Off now in its 27th year and a favorite of both locals and visitors.

11 am - 3 pm, enjoy a festival atmosphere around the train depot with decorated booths, live music, handcrafted arts and yummy homemade desserts. Sample chilies ranging from mild to wild and in red, white, and vegetarian recipes ($5 wrist band). Trophies and cash prizes are awarded to the top three chilies by our panel of judges, who also give a Showmanship Trophy to the best theme-decorated booth. You can also be a judge, by casting your vote for the coveted People's Choice Award given at the end of the day. Bring your appetite!
