Description:

From 7th annual Vermont Wildlife Festival Website:

The Vermont Wildlife Festival was first held in 2010 on Hogback Mountain in Marlboro Vermont. It was originally intended as an opportunity for locals and visitors to the region to share their passion for the outdoors in all its facets. Representatives from the hunting and conservation communities, wildlife rescues, State agencies and nature centers all came out for a fun day of learning and fun in the beautiful Vermont outdoors! The event has continued to grow and this year moves to Mount Snow resort! With the help of Mount Snow, the Southern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Zoocademy, the Museum is keeping that spirit of inclusiveness! The event is admission by a donation of your choice and we again have a wide variety of attractions to engage anyone with an interest in the outdoors. Live birds of prey, reptile rescues and a live wolf demonstration bring the flashy live animals into focus. The Deerfield Valley Sportsmans Club and the American Museum of Fly Fishing will keep us learning about the hunting and fishing traditions of Vermont. The State is sending interactive exhibits and experts from the DEC, Fish and Wildlife and Forest Parks and Recreation. In all, we have over 28 groups who will be on hand to entertain and educate, including a number of new additions like an influx of survival schools, a full sized tipi and a native culture exhibition from Healing Winds! The event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm on September 24, bring the whole family for a fun fall outing!
