The California Festival of Beers is one of the largest and oldest regional beer festivals in California. Each year attendees sample, learn, and enjoy beers from over six dozen breweries from around the world. Growing from a humble event in the back parking lot of a local pub in San Luis Obispo, the California Festival of Beers has become one of the largest and oldest festivals paying tribute to beer.

Beer Fest, as it is affectionately named, has become a San Luis Obispo institution and brings over 4,000 attendees each year to California's Central Coast. Because of the event's popularity, each year the event sells out.

The Festival is a benefit event managed and maintained by Hospice of San Luis Obispo County (Hospice SLO), a non-profit grief counseling organization, that receives all of the proceeds.

This year the California Festival of Beers will continue in its tradition of craft beers, live music, and sunshine. Each year the festival draws a wider selection of beer, dining, entertainment and sponsors then years past, and this year is no exception. In 2014, the Grand Tasting will take place again in the Madonna Inn Meadows, a beautiful expanse of lawn nestled between parks, mountains, and hotels in San Luis Obispo, California. The meadow is the perfect location to spend the day enjoying the Grand Tasting with more of your friends and grass between your toes.
