Description: | From 34th Annual Lutz Arts and Crafts Festival Website: The GFWC Lutz-Land OLakes Womans Club, Inc. will hold its 34th Annual Lutz Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 from 10 am to 4 pm at Lake Park, N. Dale Mabry Rd. (south of Van Dyke Rd.). Admission is FREE but Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation Dept. will collect a $2 per car charge.
This vibrant event attracts between 20,000 to 30,000 visitors each year and features over 250 vendors with a wide variety of artists of every medium participating thereby offering the public a huge array of art and handmade items from which to choose. There are booths showcasing paintings, photography, jewelry, wood carving, ceramics/pottery, stained glass, quilts and of course, great food. This is a juried art show with several categories of art forms and substantial cash prizes are awarded by the Womans Club.
The food offerings are always a big attraction at this festival and will include the Womans Club booth with breakfast items, hot dogs and their famous peach cobbler. Many other food booths will feature delicious BBQ, Cuban food, sausages, funnel cakes and much more.
Mark your calendar to do your Christmas shopping in this enjoyable and festive atmosphere, bring the kids along and have a delightful weekend locally while supporting the Womans Club. These hard-working green shirt ladies have been serving our community for over 50 years and the proceeds of this event will insure that they can continue their good work and provide support to so many of our local organizations. Their motto is Serve Today For a Better Tomorrow.
