Description: 2011 Squeaky Wheel Tour

GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation presents the International Squeaky Wheel Tour® (or SWT). SWT is an acclaimed concert series that raises awareness for those who go missing every year. This event will draw attention to several hundred missing people, many of whom will be profiled by artists participating in concerts throughout the US and other countries.

It has been 10 long years since Gina Bos walked out of a performance in Lincoln, NE and started this whole squeaky wheel rolling. Ten years of efforts by mostly independent artists to help find the thousands of others that have disappeared all over the world since October 17, 2000. In honor of GINA and the 10 years her fellow artists have helped get the word out about missing people, we will be exploring more ways than ever to create that noise for the missing.

Squeaky Wheel Tour® is a grass roots effort to gain attention for hundreds of missing childen and adults whose disappearances do not have the scandal, intrigue, or national appeal to garner the attention of the public. This is an amazing opportunity that we have right here and right now to gain public attention for the missing, which will in turn create momentum and hope for us all.

The Squeaky Wheel starts here. . .with me, with you. . .we have the power to make a difference both individually and collectively. We are the families of the missing, the artists and communities who care about the missing, the not-for-profit organizations dedicated to the missing, and the media who sees that attention is needed to bring someone home.

Join us - attend a concert, spread the word, and help us bring the missing home!
