Aullwood’s annual Apple Fest happens on Saturday & Sunday, September 23rd & 24th, from 10 AM to 5 PM! Join us at Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike, Dayton OH 45414. Apple Fest admission is free for children 2 and under, $3 for children 3 to 11, and $5 for adults 12 and over. Members of Friends of Aullwood are admitted free with membership card. With delicious foods, live entertainment, craft activities and more, Apple Fest is a fall treat for all ages! Try your hand at the cider press, make a funny paper hat, or hear tales from Johnny Appleseed and get a free apple! Listen to music and laugh and learn with Chris Rowlands’ songs and puppets. On Saturday, Urban Station will perform southern rock and oldies music at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM, while the Miami Valley Dance Council Square Dancers will take the stage at 2 PM. On Sunday, the Sugar Grove Bluegrass Band will bring their top-tappin’ bluegrass music to life at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Free children's activities will keep the little ones entertained with crafts and games. Meet farm animal friends and go on a tractor or draft horse pulled wagon ride. Wreaths and fall décor made by the Greenview Garden Club can be purchased while you enjoy the herb garden. Sample delicious apple dumplings, apple pies baked in a Dutch oven, corn-on-the-cob, roasted almonds, fish boats, kettle corn, brick-oven pizzas and home-made ice cream. This year we are also bringing back Aullwood’s Apple Butter made with our very own secret recipe, so come and get yours at Apple Fest! Enjoy a variety of sandwiches made with Aullwood's own farm meats from bratwurst to cheeseburgers at Aullwood's food booth. Artisans and craft exhibitors will offer soaps, jewelry, woven items, sand art, garden ornaments, needle crafts, animal masks and more. There's always something else to enjoy!
