| Description: | From 43rd Annual Castro Street Fair Website: The Castro Street Fair is one of the oldest LGBT community celebrations in the world, and is part of the enduring legacy of Harvey Milk, who founded the event in 1974. The Fair is not only a showcase and celebration of the Castro neighborhood and community; it also features a wide array of local artists, craftspeople and performers. More than 50,000 guests visit the Fair annually, as well as over 200 exhibitors.
