Parade and Memorial Ceremonies

Memorial Day weekend 2015 takes place from Friday, May 22nd. through Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th. The Memorial Day holiday is in remembrance and commemoration of members of the United States Military who died while serving our country.

Held each year on Memorial Day weekend, this years Blue Crab Festival will feature carnival rides, live music, arts and crafts, commercial display vendors, and more along the riverfront in downtown Palatka.

Arts and crafts booths will stand along St. Johns Avenue, and food booths will be on either side of the entertainment tent. Carnival rides will feature a ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, a merry-go-round, bumper cars, a giant slide, funhouse, a train, and other rides. The "kid zone" will include inflatables, children's rides and pony rides, face painting and a petting zoo.

The parade will feature marching bands, community groups and organizations, and various other floats and units. The Blue Crab Festival will continue through 5 p.m. May 25th.

As Always... Admission and parking are free, with free live entertainment throughout the the day and night.
