Description:

From Burlington Carousel Festival Website:

The Dentzel Menagerie Carousel, one of the most historic treasures in Burlington, was built around 1910 by the Dentzel Family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Each year the city comes together to celebrate the Carousel by hosting the annual Carousel Festival. The event features Artist Alley, an area where fine artists and craft exhibitors display their work, including handcrafted carousel items. Also, be sure to visit the Carousel Tent in Artist Alley to meet vendors specializing in Carousel related items featuring original Carousel paintings and much more. The Children's Area offers families the opportunity to take a ride on the Carousel or one of the other amusement activities that are permanently located in the park. Bring a chair and enjoy the sights and sounds of the local music and entertainment. The Jimmy Combs Amphitheater will feature our Headlining Band on Sunday, September 21st as well as many local and regional favorites throughout the weekend. No one can forget the wonderful aroma of our food court, which is provided by non-profit agencies from right here within the community. Be sure to visit the FYI Area to learn more about our local non-profit groups and what their organizations have to offer the community.

With the avid community support of local businesses such as American National Bank, a leading presenter along with the Burlington Recreation & Parks Department, the Festival has grown to be one of the Southeasts most renowned and respected events. Please join us September 20th & 21st at the City Park for a visit to one of Burlington's most exciting events: the Burlington Carousel Festival.
