Description: | From Saxon Lutheran Memorial Fall Festival Website: How about taking a walk back in time by walking into a living history book? Let history excite your senses. You will SEE live demonstrations of the work and skills necessary to survive during the 1840's, you will HEAR the pound of the blacksmith's hammer on the anvil, you can TOUCH the tools, fibers, & animals to experience pioneer life on a personal level, you can TASTE delicious local cuisine to satisfy your appetite and you will SMELL the fire burning under the kettle where a batch of apple butter is being cooked or coffee is being roasted. It's all here - it's all for you; your heritage, your legacy - it's for you and your family to enjoy, to learn, to remember and to pass along. God bless your time here.
The festival admittance and parking is free, however you are welcome to make a free-will donation. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, so this event is our major fundraiser to maintain the site and keep it open, safe and preserved for all to enjoy for generations to come.
