Description:

From Wakulla Wildlife Festival Website:

The annual Wakulla Wildlife Festival will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Wakulla Springs State Park. The festival is a celebration of outdoor activities and area heritage. Local musicians, artists, and experts offer festival participants one-of-a-kind experiences, helpful advice, and personal enrichment in a neighborhood family atmosphere.

Although plans for the 2014 festival have not yet been finalized, the festival organizers hope to include the ever-popular premium guided tours, living history demonstrators and children's activities. Special Bird of Prey and Reptile Shows presented by the Center for Wildlife Education of Georgia Southern University are crowd pleasers and an anticipated attraction. Exhibitors on the main festival grounds will be invited to introduce guests to a wide assortment of outdoor activities and provide close encounters with area wildlife. Bluegrass music will also enliven events on the main festival grounds.

The beautiful and historic Wakulla Springs Lodge will host music, art and fine food. Beginning at 10:00am and continuing until 6:00pm, local artists will offer creations showcasing the wildlife and heritage of the Big Bend Region.

Live music is planned to begin in the Lodge at 12:00 noon. Folk music, Appalachian Clogging, and Bluegrass fill the early afternoon.

A $6 per vehicle donation to The Friends of Wakulla Springs supports the shows and programs of the festival.
