Description:

From Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival Website:

The event, which has expanded to include live music and chalk artists creating paintings directly on sidewalks and streets, has built a large following over the past nine years. The festival has grown to 100 artists, with canopies and booths lined along San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia and Olive Avenue and on the AMC Walkway. The Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival is free and open to the public.

The two-day outdoor exhibition is a juried collection of fine artists produced in partnership with West Coast Artists. All work is original, one-of-kind and executed by the artists themselves.

All of the artists are scheduled to attend in person with a number of them executing works on-site. The public will have the opportunity to share in the artistic process and to watch skilled artisans work in a variety of media: oils and watercolor, photography, sculpture in wood, stone, metal, clay, iron and glass, fiber art, precious stones, jewelry, pottery and stained glass.

Downtown Burbank comprises 34-blocks of retail, office, residential and entertainment destinations that includes more than 200 shops and 80 restaurants like Macy's, IKEA, PF Chang's, Urban Outfitters, AMC-16 and Burbank Town Center. The area is bounded by Verdugo Avenue, Glenoaks, Burbank Boulevard and the I-5 in Burbank, Calif., and contains more than 9,000 free parking spaces. Dubbed "one of Southern California's most appealing urban centers" by Sunset Magazine, the district is managed by Downtown Burbank Partnership, Inc., a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation.
