| Description: | Please join us on the Green in downtown Brunswick for the 8th annual Peace Fair! The Peace Fair looks at and celebrates the growing interest around the world to create a new culture based on compassion and sustainable practices, one that grows as we learn to treat ourselves, each other and our natural resources with love rather than dominance. Local artists, poets, activists and musicians offer many activities that are fun for the whole family. Representatives of Maines network of non-profits and community groups bring information and conversation around the many aspects of building peace in one's self, in one's local community, and globally. In addition to activities including arts, crafts, music, and perhaps some theater, space will be held for discussions related to our deep needs for human rights, justice, food, housing, a healthy environment, education and the interrelatedness of it all. | ||
